Hi, I'm Kevin ZHAO Weiming
I work at the intersection of AI, engineering, and scientific research. As Chief AI Architect at EC-ZERO Lab, SJTU, I develop AI-driven research toolchains, intelligent lab infrastructure, and human-centered systems for electrochemical research and engineering practice.
About Me
I am the Chief AI Architect at EC-ZERO Lab, Global Institute of Future Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My work focuses on building AI-driven research toolchains and intelligent lab infrastructure for electrochemical research, smart laboratories, and engineering practice. I am particularly interested in how generative AI, computer vision, human-computer interaction, and extended reality can support scientific discovery and next-generation research workflows.
Before joining EC-ZERO, I served as an educational engineer and Director of the Extended Reality Lab at the SJTU Student Innovation Center, where I led curriculum development and student innovation training in AI and XR. I also worked as a Research Associate at the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) in Singapore, specializing in 3D LiDAR visualization and GUI design.
I hold an MSc in Digital Media Technology from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a BSc in Computer Science and Technology from Northwest University, China.
